The Blyde Canyon

Visit The Blyde Canyon

The Blyde Canyon, The third largest canyon in the world, is characterised by towering mountains, deep ravines, green valleys, fast-flowing rivers and an abundance of wildlife, including The Big Five.

The most notable features of the canyon include deep sandstone ravines, high cliffs, spectacular rock formations, wooded valleys and fast-flowing streams and rivers. In many parts the skyline is dominated by towering mountaintops that are often shrouded in mist in the mornings. Spectacular views may be experienced from "God's Window".

The international status of Hoedspruit Airport makes the area only an hour away by plane from Johannesburg International Airport and forty minutes drive away from the Kruger National Park.

Visit Blyde for a weekend break, a full-fledged adventure holiday or on your way to the Kruger National Park.

Experience the excitement of Africa and the spectacular beauty of the canyon on a self-drive holiday.
